earcandyarts – a region of StudioWhat

One day while wearing one of my first sets of earrings, my friend Julie exclaimed, “these are so yummy! They look just like candy!” And thus, earcandyarts was born. Then StudioWhat was born (STILL in the birthing process) to us, a blend of our creativeness.

StudioWhat is the name under which we, Linn and Greg, create our multi-layered living. Our home is in the small community of Kingston on the Puget Sound, in beautiful Western Washington State, USA. Along with making earrings and other kinds of jewelry when the mood strikes, I follow my long-time career as a graphic designer, and I create wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery in my studio. My days are spent rotating between the three! Greg is a web designer and painter. His habit is to draw and paint every morning with a cup of coffee, and he’s done this for a very long time. Recently we decided to share more of his magical art with the world. It’s full of nonsense, irony, meaning to anyone who looks for it, but it’s created as play – Greg has fun with stroke, color, texture, and character, while I have fun with color, order, process, and useability. Whatever comes is always a surprise.
